Australias Largest German Festival: Oktoberfest Brisbane 2015!

It’s almost time to dust off your German outfit, wash your stein and get dancing!

Get ready to see the Brisbane Showgrounds transform into a a mini Bavaria with the authentic Biergarten, alfresco dining area and dancing space this year amongst a sea of beer maids and bavarians.

Oktoberfest Brisbane has been ranked by the National Geographic as one of the Top 10 Oktoberfests outside Germany. This year again, you can expect the festival will be filled with an array of gluten free (and of course glutenous) German goodies such as an of bratwurst, baked potatoes, meatloaf, side dishes, and more! While the beverages will be running plentiful with a variety of wines, and of course beer on tap all night long (it is unknown if gluten free beer will be on offer, however it will be clearly marked at the event).

So what’s new in 2015?

Oktoberfest Brisbane 2015 will have a number of new menu items, new rides and ‘OktoberFEAST – A Gourmet Exbeerience’ with beer connoisseur Matt Kirkegaard and 2014 Masterchef contestant Emily Loo. You may also like to embrace your inner child and make your way to the petting zoo or jump on a ride for a wild time.

Just landed: Munich’s Music!

This year, special guest musicians will be flying directly out of Munich’s Oktoberfest to Brisbane. You’ll be able to dance along to anything from rock to traditional folk. Otherwise if you’re feeling confident, join in on the competitions of Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane and Bavarian Strongmen to embrace your inner German… You gotta be in it to win it, right?

For the men, if your lovely locks are looking a scruffy, the Jimmy Rod’s Barbershop will be giving free haircuts!

So why not embrace your inner German and get ready for this years Oktoberfest, I know I’ll be dancing along the night away with a bratwurst and beer in hand!
