Gelateria Perché No!
is a historic gelateria in Florence that follows traditional techniques to make perfect gelati every time. After being recommended by an American chef that we met in a backstreet of Florence to check it out, it has now become one of my favourite gelaterias in Florence. Set between Piazza Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, Gelateria Perché No
! is extremely popular with both tourists and locals. So far we’ve tried the Cioccolata, Bacio, Pistachio, Cannella (cinnamon), White Chocolate, Caffe and Nocciolosa (don’t judge me for all these flavours… we share and get two flavours each hehe). My two top flavours so far are the chocolate- which had a wonderful bitterness of dark chocolate but a consistency and flavour which reminded me of Italian hot chocolate/custard, and the pistachio which was salty sweet with that distinct pistachio taste. All products are made with natural, high quality ingredients and are made freshly each morning.

Perche no! have week day specials with one off flavours (which can be found on their website), to keeps it interesting. So check out Perche no! and get away from the franchised tourist gelato stores to find some thing better!
Cost? Very reasonable! Only 2 euro for a piccolo cup, which you can have two flavours in, then prices go up from there.
Gluten free? Yes- flavour specific as per all gelati stores.
