Salsamenteria di Parma, Milano

Salsamenteria di Parma is a lovely trattoria situated just a stones throw from Piazza del Duomo in Milano.
I stumbled across this place, starving and looking for some good food. I arrived at around 1.30pm (when most Italians eat lunch) and all the tables were taken, so we decided to wait (it only took about 5-10minutes) to be seated. You know when it’s booked out or packed – especially with locals, that the foods going to be good!

Cost? € Cheap but…  6-8€ for a primi and 10-12€ for a main, but the portion sizes were very small so you need to order a few things (in typical Italian style).

Location? Salsamenteria di Parma, San Pietro All’Orto, 9, Milano – Central, just off Corso Vittorio Emanuele II near Piazza del Duomo.

Would I go back? Yes, just make sure that if the menu says it is meat – you should know that NOTHING else will come with it – as a general rule of thumb in all of Italy too, so definitely order a side dish or two.
