Shakespeare and Company, Paris

Filled with rare, new, second hand and author signed books, Shakespeare and Company takes you into a world of books. Enter the institution of paper back happiness where you can find like minded people just looking for a good read.
This library/book store is filled with small rooms separated into sections, to help you find what you’re looking for. If you have a bit of time, take a walk upstairs and find a place to sit and read.
What amazes me about Shakespeare and Company is the story behind it, and how you can truly see the rustic love put into each and every booked placed upon the shelves.
Check out Shakespeare and Company while you’re in Paris, set on the Left Bank opposite the Notre-Dame, because it’s not only for the book lovers, but also for the unique atmosphere.
Upon Mr Whitman’s passing in 2011, his daughter continues to run his legacy, Shakespeare and Company.
