Zeb Gastronomia Florence has a modern yet cosy atmosphere, which is a change from the usual homestyle Italian dining in Italy. You can expect freshly made pasta, succulent meats, perfectly cooked vegetables and more! The dining is layed out around the central counter, with the walls encasing you with a large range of wines from Chianti and other regions in Italy. If you’re a wine connesseiour, be sure to ask for a recommendation.
Important information: The menu is written outside on a chalk board, with food options also on display behind the counter. You can ask one of the staff to go through the options of pasta or mains available for the day.This can be a little confusing when you arrive because you can’t visually see the names of food on offer unless you go outside – but the staff are happy to answer any questions in either English or Italian.
The meat options can be seen behind the counter which are sitting there prepared, ready to be served. I like the thought of food being freshly made as soon as I arrive at a restaurant, but I guess the reality is, most places have it half prepared to make it easier for them – and this is the case with Zeb.
Hours: The bistro is open for lunch Monday to Saturday 12pm to 3pm, dinner Thursday to Saturday 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Closed Wednesdays. Zeb Gastronomia Florence also have an Enoteca that is open from 9.30am in the morning daily (except Wednesdays).
